Israel Election Results: Vote Counting Continues After Polls Close

Israel election results

The Israel election results 2026 are still being counted after polling ended across the country. Exit polls suggest that no party will win a clear majority. According to Israel’s Channel 12, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party may win 24 seats in the 120-seat parliament. The party led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot is projected to win 22 seats.

Israel’s Channel 11 reported a different possible outcome. Its exit poll suggested that Eisenkot’s bloc could win more seats than Netanyahu’s bloc. These early figures are estimates and do not represent the final election results.

Eisenkot criticised the exit polls and said they showed a lack of public trust in Netanyahu. However, the final results will determine the actual balance of power in parliament. The election remains uncertain until the vote count is complete.

A party or political bloc needs at least 61 seats in Israel’s 120-seat parliament to secure a majority. The exit polls suggest that neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot may have enough support to form a government alone. Political parties may need to work together to reach the required number of seats.

The Israel election results 2026 could take several days to become clear. Forming a new government may also take time if no bloc wins a majority. During this period, Netanyahu could remain in office in a caretaker role until a new government is formed.
