Gohar denies Saif’s account of efforts to meet Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has disputed Barrister Saif’s statements about attempts to meet the party’s founder, Imran Khan. He rejected the claims made during Saif’s interview and described them as untrue.

Speaking to reporters in Peshawar, Gohar said it was incorrect to claim that PTI leaders had ignored an offer to meet Imran Khan. He maintained that the party had continued seeking access to its founder.

Gohar said PTI had tried every available route to arrange a meeting. He added that the party had approached the courts and pursued the matter through negotiations.

Despite these efforts, he said, the authorities had not allowed the party to hold even one meeting with Imran Khan. He rejected the suggestion that PTI representatives had failed to make efforts to see him.

The chairman also recalled that access to Imran Khan was among the conditions PTI had raised during negotiations. He said the party had consistently pressed for a meeting as part of the process.

His comments followed Barrister Saif’s remarks suggesting that PTI leaders had received an offer but did not meet their founder. Gohar rejected that account and reiterated that the party had made repeated attempts to secure permission.
